Autobacs Super GT 3

The Super GT series, formerly known as the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship or JGTC (全日本GT選手権, Zen Nihon GT Sensyuken), is a grand touring car race series promoted by the GT-Association (GT-A). Though the JGTC was authorized by the Japan Automobile Federation and recognized by the FIA, the Super GT is authorized directly by FIA.

On Sunday, me and Hui went to witness the grand race of the Super GT event. On that day, we can redeem another two touch and go, and will share one with Hun. All the transaction there were cashless, mean that have to pay with touch and go...

We reached Sepang at around 2.20pm. It is not surprise that to have countless of cars when there has any grand event. All the parking sites were almost full and we managed to park in the PA3. Car parking entrance fee: RM5. Besides of sport cars racing, there also some cars and motorcycles exhibition, performances and car-designing exhibition.

We had our lunch there-Japanese Curry Chicken @ RM10.00

The car racing started at 1600 and estimated finish at 1745. At around 1530, we headed to the main grandstand. There are too much people there and very hard to get a clear site to capture the racing event.

Preparing for the car racing
Ready for the car racing

This racing took 46 laps. One by one, the sports cars disappear in front of us just in a glimpse of eye. One lap is equal to 5.542m and there are total of 15 turning points. In each turning point and straight route, there are estimated speed with the maximum acceleration of 310KM/H on the straight route and minimum 90KM/H in the Turn 1.

The track was cleared in just a few seconds

The supporters/crowd

Besides that, there should be have live broadcast for the event. Saw a pretty reporter there to report for the event and I grab the chance to capture the moment.

The acceleration sound was extremely loud and annoying. And we try to use tissue paper to cover our ear.

The first racing car finish all the 46 laps and come back to finisher line at around 5.41pm. Congratulation to all...

We left Sepang at around 6.55pm. The Femme Fatale GT Party started at 8pm to 2am but we didn't join. On the way back to PJ, saw a very nice dusk scene and also a very big-round-shape sun which looked near to the earth. I like this kind of scene so much but we can't stop on the highway to capture it.

This is my second time went to Sepang International Circuit. Goodbye and have chance to pay you a visit for the third time.
