5th QS-APPLE: Conference parallel sessions

In this 3 days, conferences were held in parallel/synchronize, means that at least 2 conferences were held together at the same time and each of this conference was carried out in each break up conference/meeting room. Room 301 to 306 and room 310 were used for conference parallel sessions whereas room 307 and 308 used for speaker's preparation rooms. For each sessions, the duration is one and half hour. A minimum of two and maximum of four sessions for each meeting room in each day. Each of the sessions was began and moderated by a moderator and ended by a Q&A session. All of the delegates and participants have the right to choose and attend the topic of their interest and concern.

Each meeting room was take cared by two student helpers. And I was partnered with Syahanim. Both of us in charge of the Room 302. Still remember that the first session for us was so so so challenging!! Both of us were inexperience for the first time but came the challenging tasks for us. There had 3 speakers for that session, out of expected two of them insisted to use their own laptop for their presentation with the reason that they use different software to run their presentation (the standardize presentation is by using Microsoft Powerpoint), and scared that the prepared laptop by the authorities do not have the supported software!! OMG, that means that after each speaker finish presenting, we had to quickly change the laptop and do all those supporting technical for the next (normally, all the files will uploaded into one laptop). Luckily, we were assisted by the stand-by technician and hence did not drag a long time in that laptop changing and technical supporting.

I was really sleepy in every session of the conference as i did not pay any interest on the topic. When i sat in the first row of the seats, it was really a torture for me as i have to force myself to open my eye during the entire 1 1/2 hours. How embarrassing it is if you "fishing" or fall asleep while the speaker is presenting in front of u!!
