5th QS-APPLE: Student helpers

Around 3 weeks weeks ago, I worked as student helpers in the 5th QS-APPLE.

*We are student helpers*

As UM and UKM being the host universities of the 5th QS-APPLE, both had to sent some of the students in helping out of the conference so that it can be run smoothly. By chance, i can involve in this conference together with my another two friends. For that reason, i took one week leave from my boss. Great thanks as my boss allowed it and actually nothing much lab work can be done in that week. Haha...our position is called "student helper"...

Approximately 50 student helpers were involved in this conference from both universities, which means that around 25 student helpers from each university. Student helpers from UM incharge of registration and techinical part whereas student helpers from UKM incharge of the exhibition and security part. Together with my another two friends, we choose to take care of the technical part. Haha, our jobs were actually simple:

a) Save powerpoint slides/flies on destop/folder
b) Standby for Q&A sessions (passing microphone among participants)
c) Standyby in case of display/PC failure/crash
d) Assist preparation for the next day/session

Haha, its really a great pleasure for me to involved myself in such grand conference. Even though our role is just as small as a needle, but i really appreciate it and it really marked a significant experience in my life. And this kind of experiences won't happen twice i think.
